The accrediting organization for veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada is the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). You may be surprised to learn that not all animal hospitals are accredited - in fact, only ten Salt Lake City veterinary hospitals have achieved this status. To be accredited, hospitals must pass rigorous inspections of medical practices and business practices as well as intensive on-site inspections from AAHA.
